Viafarini.work

The new space Viafarini.work is active in Milan, located in Via Marco D’Agrate 33 in the Corvetto-South of Prada area, with 1,200 square meters congenial for location and architectural features to become a multifunctional space for artistic and film production and socio-cultural events.

The project promotes a relationship between the centre (Fabbrica del Vapore) and the periphery (Corvetto), implementing a professional artistic circulation. It also activates a space for interaction with both schools and the resident population, especially children. The challenge is to make the same place both a place of art and a place of social work. A coexistence in many ways is unprecedented in Milan. A place that makes at the same time aggregation and training, both for university students and for children and families.

Viafarini.work starts in the neighbourhood activities that start from recognized professionalism in artistic research putting them in dialogue with social and cultural projects that are developing.

This dialogue brings benefits to all the actors involved: first of all the professional artists, who broaden their horizons, and in cascade the young professionals trained by the project and the young recipients of workshop activities. Moreover, the system of sustainability consolidated by Viafarini in thirty years allows us to start a Center in Corvetto that makes spaces and projects available to the territory, to be a community point.
