For the Latvian Pavilion, the selected artist Amanda Ziemele has created a space of fictional encounter where a suspended rhythm dictates a celebration of cosmic multidimensionality. Inspired by “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions” by Edwin A. Abbott, the exhibition demonstrates a mental connection to Latvia’s artistic heritage in terms of content, emotion, and form. Showcasing knowledge of geometry and social satire, this classic work of science fiction aims to playfully expand readers’ imagination beyond the limits of our respective dimensional prejudices.
